The holidays are coming!

Are you looking for some fun games for your children for the holidays? Sure, there are plenty of apps and video games out there, but how about “old-fashioned” board and manipulative games? Wouldn’t it be nice if you found fun, hands-on activities that actually develop visual processing (visual memory, sequencing, form perception, patterns, discrimination) and motor skills?

Here are some of our favorite games:

Rush Hour

This game is available in many formats: large cards, mini version, digital. Voted one of Parents' Choice Best 25 Toys of 25 Years!

Spot It

Ages 5 and up; Blokus is a strategy games that encourages creative thinking and spatial planning. As players take turns placing their 21 pieces on the board, each piece played must touch another piece of the same color, but only at the corners.
