Good news!

Good news! Two of my pieces were selected to be part of the annual Texas Artists Coalition juried exhibit. The opening reception,  awards and juror’s talk will be August 8, 7:00 pm at Fort Worth Community Arts Center. Directions to the center are here. The two pieces chosen by the juror are below. More information can be found here.

Lately it seems that I am seeing some really interesting fiber art and/or designs. The creativity and innovation of human beings is amazing!

One of the most interesting is the woven home design of Abeer Seikaly. His web page not only shows interesting pictures of the shelters in various habitats, but also includes diagrams of the design. When I looked at the design drawings, I was immediately reminded of some past childhood projects. Obviously, the design was carried way beyond that!
