In the tapestry of life, we're all connected.
Each one of us is a gift to those around us
helping each other be who we are, weaving
a perfect picture together.
You can see other pieces might look in your space on my Pinterest board of in situ photos.
In the studio
This is one section of the ikat tying that I've been working on. You can get a hint of the design from this picture. The next step is dyeing.
This is what I've been doing with my summer so far. I love it when the grandchildren come and stay with me. Tie dyeing and movies. X-Men, Captain America, Jungle Book--you name it, I've seen it. We had a family swim party, a birthday party for their 90 year old great grandmother, and learned how to cook. How many people do you know with tie-dyed socks?
Now that they've been returned to their parents, I will get back into the studio.
This an experiment with the last bit of warp left on the loom. I wanted to see how exposed warp affected the color. I'll do the finish work someday--after dyeing the yarn for the next piece and putting a new warp on the loom.
