Happy 2nd Anniversary!

We just celebrated our 2nd anniversary here at Camaraderie. On one hand it's hard to believe that 2yrs has gone by so quickly. On the other hand, we've done so much with our membership and with coworking in general that it seems like the fun has been going for much longer than that.  We're so happy to be here and be a part of the freelancer, startup, and entrepreneurial community, and are looking forward to celebrating many more anniversaries. (to celebrate, we bought fiddlesticks)

This is a short issue while we're working on a few things. In this issue of the Camaraderie Connection:
  • freelancecampTO2
  • Jobs available
  • In case you missed it
  • Events
  • Until next time...

Registration is now open for freelancecampTO2. This is a one day professional development conference specifically for freelancers, but from any industry. Learn to be a better freelancer and network with others. New to the format this year is a keynote speaker, Steve Slaunwhite, who was the co-author of The Wealthy Freelancer.

Join us on Sun Mar 25 at City Hall for this event. Registration is a must, and earlybird tickets are available only until Mar 2.

Jobs available

We're looking for a Super Space Manager to help around the space, increase membership, and work with our members and community to make this place even better. Is that you or someone you know? See the job posting and apply by Feb 24.

And we're still looking to work with a grant writer to help with some projects. If you are familiar with coworking as well as Canadian business grants from both the private and public sector, please get in touch! We'd want you to work from our space (complimentary, of course) a few times to start the process, but otherwise you can do the reesarch and writing from anywhere.

Until next time

Dan Pink is no stranger to coworking, and has been writing about alternative and changing workspaces for years. In this video he talks about the surprising science of motivation, something we can understand whether we're a freelancers, an entrepreneur, a startup employee, or a telecommuter. Watch the video below. It may not show up in your mail program but you can also see the video on the TED website.
