Alright, so it might be a BIT early to celebrate the arrival of spring, but with the warm weather teases and the official start of the new season on the 21st, why not be proactive about our optimism?
We're right across the street from a gorgeous park
so we can't wait for spring to get here! We'll be taking part in as many outdoor events as we can, and possibly even hosting some, so stay tuned and come join us!
news about us
Speaking of parks and the area, we're VERY proud to announce that we are officially part of our local Business Improvement Area (BIA). The St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood has recently expanded, and our coworking space is now within its boundaries.
BIAs epitomize the coworking approach to doing business. Community through collaboration is what we're all about, and we look forward to being an active member of this association to help bring our neighbours together for the benefit of all.

As your new community manager, I thought it would be good to tell you a bit more about myself. You may not know this, but in addition to being part of the Camaraderie team, I'm also a freelancer. Therefore, this months featured member... is ME!
I have primarily worked in the music industry going on 15 years, and have experience in virtually all areas. I started out working in retail, and since then have worked for labels, distributors, non profit organizations, booking agencies, management companies, and more.
What is your company name and brief description?
Be sure to say hi next time you're in!
Your Band's Best Friend is an industry advice blog focusing on helping independent musicians get ahead in their careers. I also offer one-on-one consultations on a 'pay-what-you-can' basis, in addition to social media training geared towards the music industry. www.yourbandsbestfriend.com
How does being an entrepreneur fit into your live/work balance?
Amazingly! I love working independently, but of course, working from home can offer huge distractions. So, as community manager here at Camaraderie, I get to come into a work space every day, work on building my business, and help foster the Camaraderie community all at the same time.
What is the top thing you get out of working from Camaraderie?
PIE! Ok, just kidding (sort of). I love the sense of community here, and really enjoy helping that grow. Community and collaboration helps everyone involved.
What is one thing you would like to see happen/change/start at Camaraderie that would benefit you the most?
I would love to have the members send in their ideas for events, and then let me help make them happen!
until next time
