2014 NOAA HABs Forecast

For the third year, NOAA and Ohio Sea Grant are partnering to release the official 2014 harmful algal bloom forecast for Lake Erie's western basin from Stone Lab on July 10 from 2 - 4 p.m. ET. Register for the live web broadcast to be the first to know what to expect this summer.

2014 Stone Lab Summer Guest Lecture Series
Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Lab, Ohio State University’s island campus on Lake Erie, are hosting the 2014 Stone Lab Guest Lecture Series from June 19 through August 7, 2014.

Lake Guardian on patrol

The season of algal blooms and dead zones is upon Lake Erie. This year, joining the fight is the Lake Guardian, the U.S. EPA's 180-foot, 850-ton environmental battleship, loaded with scientists and researchers.

Lake sediment could be used for highway projects

Ohio EPA director Craig Butler kicked off the Stone Lab Guest Lecture Series to discuss two main themes: lake dredging, and phosphorus farm runoff.
