Stone Lab 2014 Summer Courses

While the first round of deadlines has passed, there are still some open spots in many of the 25 courses offered at Stone Lab this summer. Those interested in taking science courses for high schoolers, college students and educators on a Lake Erie island should contact the Stone Lab Columbus office.

Professional Development for Great Lakes Educators

Stone Lab, Ohio State's island campus on Lake Erie, still has spaces available in professional development courses for classroom teachers and informal educators. Spend a week on a Lake Erie island and bring new ideas back to your classroom!

Making New Great Lakes Stewards

The NOAA Great Lakes B-WET program, led by Pennsylvania and Ohio Sea Grant, has been showing teachers and informal educators across the region how to integrate Great Lakes knowledge into their classrooms. The National Sea Grant Office recently featured the program on its website.

College Science Courses for High School Students

High school sophomores, juniors and seniors who want to get a head start on college credits can take one-week introductory science courses at Stone Lab this summer. From aquatic biology to sport fishing and oceanography, the lab offers a class for all interests.
