Dear Valued Donor,
Abdul Aziz was born with a hole in his heart. He lives with his family in camp for Syrian refugees in Lebanon. He needs constant care.
Abdul’s condition means that he can’t take care of himself and is bedridden. His mother has to wash and dress him, and help him to the toilet. Each night, Abdul stays awake, unable to lie flat on the thin mattress he sleeps on because the hard ground beneath bruises his back.

Abdul Aziz’s family is at breaking point
Abdul’s father Mohammed is desperate to find work to pay for his son’s medical needs, but in the cold winter months, work for refugees is impossible to find. The family has been forced to borrow money for food and fuel, and their debts are mounting.
To make matters worse, an unrelenting and deadly winter has arrived. Ice and rainwater has begun to leak into their tent, demanding urgent repairs. Without your help, this Syrian family may not survive.
Together we can stop a killer
Families with disabled children like Abdul Aziz are incredibly vulnerable during the winter months. Human Appeal is working tirelessly on the ground in Syria, trying to provide for those in the greatest need. But we can do nothing without your help.
£250 will help families like Abdul Aziz’s keep out the rain and snow with protective plastic sheets. £165 will provide a refugee household with food and other winter survival essentials. Just £65 will give a family of four enough food for a whole month.
You can stop winter killing today.
