Dear Valued Donor,
There’s a killer on the loose. It creeps through floors, walls and windows. It slips under doorways. It surrounds its victims and kills them in their sleep. It comes every year, and its name is winter.
Life is already a nightmare for families living in refugee camps, makeshift shelters and shattered buildings, without adequate food, water, sanitation, clothing or footwear. Now, another harsh winter has arrived, and their suffering is about to get even worse.
65.6 million lives hang in the balance
This year, 65.6 million people have been displaced from their homes by poverty and conflict. That’s 20 people every minute. Winter is the hardest season to survive for refugees who have lost everything. They are hungry, cold and desperate, and they need our help.
Together, we can stop a killer
This winter, we must not close our hearts to the suffering of millions of vulnerable people around the globe. Just £65 can feed a hungry and desperate family for a whole month. £165 will provide a family with a winter survival kit, filled with essentials. £250 will buy plastic sheets to protect a family from the freezing sleet and rain.
We can’t stop winter. But we can stop it from killing.
