shop4support and Harrow Council work with Service Providers towards personalisation
Harrow Council is making great progress towards personalising social care. Not only are the council’s shop4support pages up and running, but both the council and shop4support are working with local service providers, sharing ideas and giving advice about how to make a positive transition towards personalisation. Why Digital Inclusion Matters.
Digital inclusion is about enabling people to be part of a community – it’s a wonderful way of opening up worlds, of communicating, and alleviating loneliness and exclusion. Sadly, there are still a proportion of people within the UK, particularly the older and vulnerable who are not yet digitally literate. shop4support recognises this and is helping to bridge the divide through the development of innovative digital solutions to some of the problems faced by vulnerable adults and older people. shop4support joins forces with Liquidlogic to offer Local Authorities and individuals seamless access to its online social care marketplace.
This new partnership will see Liquidlogic incorporate the shop4support online market place into its Self Directed Support portal, PROTOCOL. This will enable citizens to seamlessly access and purchase services through shop4support whilst using PROTOCOL to direct their own social care in an efficient and effective manner. Read more.
