Happy Birthday Young Americans Bank!

On August 3, 1987, the impossible became a reality: Young Americans Bank welcomed its very first customers!  In the next three months, 5,000 accounts were opened by young people, all under the age of 22.

Fast forward 32 years later, and just over 19,000 youth have accounts at the Bank.  This figure represents accounts from 26 states and nine foreign countries.  For Bill Daniels, Founder of Young Americans Bank, success was measured not by the bottom line, but by how many young customers the bank had and by the richness of their experience there.

Bill would be so proud to know that his Bank continues to be a successful institution in Colorado.  Now with three locations (Cherry Creek, Belmar, and Green Valley Ranch), even more young people have access to a bank that's designed just for them.

Business inspiration at RYOB Camp

For 10-year-old Ben, Running Your Own Biz camp was a perfect chance to make his own business even better! Ben is the owner of DÖGE which sells all-natural, canine culinary creations. He credits the camp for sparking ideas about how to market his products, which he’s tested on quite a few dogs already. “I’ve given away samples to quite a few dogs, and they all like them!” Ben said enthusiastically.

Read about the fun lessons Ben learned on our blog.
