This is the weekly newsletter from Loaf in Stirchley, keeping you abreast of our bakery and, once we can re-open it, our cookery school.

A short one today as Pete's technically still on holiday. Normal service will resume next week.

We're back!

The building has been scrubbed clean, we've planned out the autumn, hired a new member (more on that soon!) and had a much needed bit of rest and recuperation.

Did you miss us? We missed you. Let's get those ovens fired up!

Slightly new online shop!

Along with a deep clean of the building, we used this fortnight to overhaul the online shop. Everything should run more smoothly and we have some long-requested new features in the pipeline.

Pre-orders are now open. Just bread, pastries and sweets this week – the baking equipment and flour will return next week.

Slightly longer hours!

Fridays are back to 12-6pm and we're opening an hour earlier at 8am on Saturday morning. That's 180 extra minutes!

Our opening hours are:
Wednesday: 12-4
Thursday: 12-6
Friday: 12-6
Saturday: 8-1

We aim to further extend our hours as we move into the autumn. Watch this space...

This week's sourdough pizza is roast butternut squash, red onion, sage and mozzarella on sale Wed to Fri.

Cookery School reopening plans

Fighting food poverty

Thanks to your support we are able to bake extra bread to give to the following organisations each week who are working across Birmingham to combat hunger. They can always use more help, from cash and food donations to volunteers.

If you know of other organisations fighting food poverty and hunger that can use up to 40 loaves a week, please let us know.
