This is the weekly newsletter from Loaf in Stirchley, keeping you abreast of our bakery and, once we can re-open it, cookery school.
This is a short one, updating you on our new oven and when we're next open.
The best laid plans…
The good news is that our new oven is in the building! (You can follow the adventure of its delivery in this thread.) It’s bigger and shinier and we can’t wait to switch it on and start baking!
The less good news is that it needs significantly more electricity and the wiring to the bakery needs to be upgraded to a higher spec. The electrician is, as the saying goes, awaiting delivery of a part.
Said part should arrive on Monday and the oven should be activated on Tuesday. That gives us a good couple of days to get the hang of it before baking for you.
To keep things simple we’re sticking with the same system as the last couple of months. We’ll be open the afternoon of Friday 23rd and in the morning on Saturday 24th with the usual range of bread, pastries and cakes. You can place your orders from today.
New hours and lunches from April 28th
From April 28th we’ll be on our new schedule, opening Wednesday to Saturday and doing hot and cold takeaway lunches. More on that next week.
Thanks for your patience!
Thanks for all your continued support. See you next week!
