Baptizing them...

It wasn't glamorous (a tub of water in a garage), but it was beautiful. Four people made public their commitment to follow Jesus and live for him. On that night they declared, to everyone watching, that the old has died and now they are new in Christ! Maybe as equally exciting as that night is how much incredible potential each of these lives can have for Jesus. Possibly, we are looking at people who will risk everything to have the great news of Jesus proclaimed (and lived out) all over the world. If it's true that every follower of Jesus has the DNA to produce a church, what might happen with the life of even one of these?! A single tree has within it the potential for an entire forest. We are praying and working to see these seeds grow into the health and fruitfulness God wants for them.

In this video Jesse talks about our DNA groups (the foundation of our discipling culture). Please join us in praying for their continued health and growth.
I love this picture. This was from the last Friday night of last semester and it's a good glimpse of how God is growing KXA right now. Instead of planning events, God has been directing us to simply build a family. So we do family stuff during the week, like eat lots of good food, and party together. We do stuff that's organized and stuff that isn't. It's through these relationships that students belong before they believe. They experience the truths of Jesus lived out in community as we share life...like a family.
SALT (in Indiana) was a lot of fun this year! It's always so great to gather with XA groups from all over the Great Lakes. All of us were impacted in good ways for Jesus. Just last week I heard someone referencing something that God had spoke to them during SALT.
God has blessed us with these two awesome boys! Justus will be turning 4 years old this month (the 13th) and Silas just now hit the 6 month mark. Raelyn and I keep learning how to do ministry with family. It's often hard, but Jesus has been helping us see how we can blend a lot of it together, and that it's actually better that way. Your prayers for all of us are genuinely appreciated.
