Did you know the GymAware PowerTool is not strictly a LPT?
LPTs can only track position in the one dimension - linear and vertically in the case of lifting weights.
The GA PowerTool, is and has been for several years the only tethered device that measures in 2 dimensions.
There is some discussion about the possible errors or limitations with single LPT systems with regard to horizontal components of the lift. And this is true for any other tethered system. It's not however true for the GA PowerTool, which internally sensors the tether angle - to correct for any errors due to horizontal movement or more likely, measurement errors as a result of poor placement of the GA PowerTool relative the to vertical lift path of the bar.
In summary the GA PowerTool collects 2 dimensional displacement-time data, and it is NOT your everyday garden variety LPT.
