Please help us in welcoming Master Jonah Chin to Still & Moving Center. With a lifetime of study of the martial and healing arts, Master Chin brings ancient qigong and meditation practices to Still & Moving Center. He also heads up a new Axion Sword Program for youth.

Miss May and Kezia have some new classes popping for the young and young at heart. Speaking of the young, new moms and moms-to-be now have their own movement class with Vivian, infants welcome. Baby hula with Kumu Mālia has a slight time change for ease of parking on Tuesdays!
Surprise, surprise (not!) Surapee Surapai seems to have the longest tail of flags on her Passport to Health & over a thousand classes under her belt! You have plenty of time to attend your favorites classes, with more than a month left in our Passport to Health Adventure/Benefit!

The silent meditation portion of this class enables you to attain concentration, focus. Master Chin provides you with a sound to silently meditate upon. It is purely a sound, not a mantra; it has no assigned meaning that may distract you. It is simply a sound to focus the mind. It acts like a rope that we can grab onto to help us cross through a dark cave. In the other portion of the class we pronounce aloud the 6 energy syllables: OM MANE PADME HUM. These 6 sounds correspond to the 5 elements of Daoist philosophy: Wood, Air, Fire, Water, Earth, and also to the human body. We believe that the littlest keiki can dance hula and have welcomed dancers as young as two weeks old! Caregivers dance together with their keiki so that everybody learns something! Most hula are performed seated, so keiki can explore hula from the safety of a familiar lap. The 25 minute class time is just right for developing attention spans. View Full Details »
