Interested in cooperative living? KCH offers affordable co-op housing in a variety of forms! Since 2006, KCH members have been sharing resources, skills, and energy in intentional housing throughout downtown Kalamazoo. Houston Place Apartments – HPA is an apartment cooperative where members live in separate one- and two-bedroom apartments. Members meet regularly and share outdoor space, plan events and work toward environmental sustainability and social justice. Newly remodeled two bedroom unit available in March 2013. Fletcher Collective – The Fletcher Collective is a ten-member group cooperative house. Members make decisions together using consensus, pool resources to share food, utilities, and supplies, and work to create a more inclusive and sustainable community. Meristem Cooperative – Meristem is the oldest existing KCH cooperative community in Kalamazoo, and it’s going through a big transition in 2013. After years of saving, KCH will be purchasing a permanent home for Meristem in 2013, and is looking for motivated, creative leaders to be a part of the first year in our new home!
