KCH "Growing the Vine" Campaign Needs Your Support
Kalamazoo Collective Housing (KCH) is at an exciting time in its history! What started six years ago as a grassroots effort to plan a democratically-controlled cooperative housing organization in Kalamazoo has grown into a nationally-recognized solution that seeks a united community on all fronts.
Support from community members helps us serve a more diverse membership, ensuring our houses are as sustainable, accessible and green as possible. We ask that you consider a tax-deductible gift to Kalamazoo Collective Housing’s Growing the Vine Campaign at a level that makes you proud to support our endeavors.

Nationally known speaker Kiran Nigam will be facilitating a FREE training for Kalamazoo Collective Housing and the greater community on discrimation in housing against people with disabilities.
Often people with disabilities face discrimination from individuals and systems built without them in mind that prevent them from being able to participate in or access spaces, resources, employment, or housing. This workshop will examine the systems of oppression against people with mental, physical, and emotional disabilities. We will develop analysis and understanding of how these systems function at individual, institutional, and cultural levels and strategize ways to affect change. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how ableism operates, how to recognize it, and tools for creating change in their campuses, residents Halls and communities.
