It is my pleasure to share with you the good news regarding our annual Voices for Children luncheon last week. It was a great day for the future of child advocacy! We raised $135,606 (after expenses) to support the bold, powerful advocacy that Washington’s kids need.
Congratulations to Brewster C. Denny Rising Advocate Awardee Kelly Blucher! We are grateful to Kelly for sharing her story as a parent struggling to find affordable childcare, and to keynote speaker Glenn Harris for challenging us to work for justice everywhere—to create change in our own lives, in our workplaces, and in our communities.
Kids make up just 25 percent of our population, but 100 percent of our future! The time is right and the time is ripe to create good public policy for kids to make our shared future shine brightly.
Children’s Alliance will continue to put power and public policy on the side of kids! We continue to demand public policies built on a foundation of racial equity! And we are ready to help every one of our state’s 1.6 million kids step boldly into the future!
We are ready to Rise Together – with you – for our kids!
At the Voices luncheon we launched a campaign to urge federal representatives to stand with kids and immigrant families and against three distinct and unjust Trump Administration rules targeting immigrant families who use public assistance. If you haven't already, join the campaign and write to your members of Congress!
If you weren’t able to attend the Voices for Children luncheon, it’s not too late to make a gift! Every gift supports our work for Washington’s kids.
