EWHC Legislative Update!

            Each year the EWHC membership is provided an overview of recent healthcare laws which have passed during the Indiana legislative session. This year, please join us for the Indiana legislative update presented by Hannah Brown.  Additionally, in light of the upcoming presidential election, John Williams will provide a primer on the current presidential candidates’ views on various healthcare issues.  Mr. Williams will also offer an inside look at the politics in Washington surrounding the election.

Presenters:

 John Williams -  Throughout his professional career, Mr. Williams has served the community in various civil and governmental positions. In 2004, he was the director of transition at the Indiana State Department of Health for Governor-Elect Mitch Daniels and in 2007 served on the transition team of Mayor-Elect Greg Ballard. From 2013 to 2014, he was a member of the Marion County Convention and Recreational Facilities Authority board of directors and now serves as Chairman of the Indianapolis Public Improvement Bond Bank. Mr. Williams also serves on the board of directors of the Center for Neighborhood Enterprise, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to developing  and supporting policies and programs that promote the social and economic self-sufficiency of low-income communities. He currently serves as Indiana Finance Chairman of John Kasich for America.

           Hannah Brown -  Before joining Hall Render in 2012, Hannah was a legislative aide to the Indiana General Assembly where she served multiple state legislators for more than five years, and she has previously worked as campaign staff to the Indiana House Democratic Caucus.
        Hannah completed her undergraduate studies at Butler University in 2007 and graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University Robert McKinney School of Law with a J.D. and Certificate in Health Law in May 2014. She is registered as a legislative lobbyist in the State of Indiana and is a member of the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana, American Health Lawyers Association, Executive Women in HealthCare  and  the  Indianapolis  Bar Association.

EWHC Membership Renewals!!


With 2015 coming to a close, don't forget to renew you EWHC membership for 2016. Now, there have been a few changes to this years EWHC rates. 2015 has been a big year for EWHC, with a lot of new changes. In the last year, we have begun being managed by Mattison Corporation (an Indianapolis Non-profit Management Company), created a new website (EWHC.co), and have been working to bring more value to our members through our events & programs. With the all the new changes, our organization has acquired more operating expenses that we must be able to cover in future years to stay viable as an organization. Our Board of Directors held multiple meetings, conducted a survey of our membership and have concluded that, starting in 2016, we will be raising our membership rates and then will raise them again in 2017.

Our new rates will be applied as follows:
Anyone who has signed up in either September or October of 2015 will NOT be charged a 2016 fee. Providers and Non-Providers will be priced at different levels.

o    2016
Provider: $100 
•    Provider definition: Provider means someone working for a Hospital or group who provides direct healthcare services to patients.

Non-Provider: $125
•    Non-Provider Definition: Non- Providers is a company that provide goods and services to those Healthcare providers.

o    2017
Provider: $125 
Non-Providers: $150
