It's About Scottish Rite & Community!
VMAP Subject Area #8, Philanthropy & Public Image, asks Valleys to conduct fundraising programs for Orient or Valley-special charities (i.e. scholarships, RiteCare, etc.).
Is your Valley active in its support of its nearest RiteCare Childhood Language Program? In this issue of the
VMAP Working Tools, we highlight two successful RiteCare programs in Pasadena, CA, and Richmond, VA.
Pasadena RiteCare Childhood Language Center
The Pasadena RiteCare Childhood Language Center provides free therapy to pre-school children (ages 18 months up to 6 years) who are struggling to speak clearly or finding it difficult to understand words being said to them because of a speech-language delay or disorder. For help go to:

The Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center in Richmond, VA
The Center (waiting room shown above) is a non-profit speech and hearing clinic founded by the Richmond Scottish Rite Organization in 1991. Our mission is to provide testing and treatment for communication disorders with fees based on a families’ ability to pay. We work with most pediatric communication disorders including speech, language, stuttering, voice, apraxia, hearing and auditory processing. The Center is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. For more information on referral procedures or financial assistance, please call 804–266–6699 or go to:
