September is well under way - I've performed at Marcellos, The 2013 Electro-Music Festival and "The September Concert: The Heart Of Jazz". All of these were great shows and so much was going on that it was difficult to get the Newsletter organized. Here's what's still coming up.

First: a House Concert
Liberty Street House Concerts

  Wednesday September 18th - Newburgh NY  7PM

Nita & I are hosting another of our Liberty Street House Concerts here in Newburgh. This time, we welcome new friends Artemis & Daniel Berkman, from the San Francisco Bay area. Join us for an intimate evening of song and lush instrumental music featuring looped and unlooped, acoustic and electric instruments - kora, piano, cello, flute, and percussion - with two very special musicians.
Daniel Berkman and Artemis have been inventing expansive, evocative music together since 1998. Fearlessly crossing boundaries and exploring vast territory as solo artists, this mutual musical broadmindedness richly informs their synergy as a duo. Their common influences range from Steve Reich and Ravel to Talk Talk and Jack Kerouac, and many strange and wonderful places in between. We're delighted to welcome them to our neighborhood.
Since it’s a weeknight we will start the music at 7 pm. Please bring a dish or drink to share. Our House Concerts are pay-what-you can; the suggested donation is $15 with the proceeds going to the artist(s). To get our address, RSVP  HERE  or via email to Lshc[AT]nailmusic[DOT]com to get our address (if you don’t already have it). There’s also a better description and event page over on Facebook, if you go for that.
