The NAIL-ing List: Neil Alexander's News & Happenings

Welcome to the May 2016 issue of

The NAILing List

Neil Alexander's Performances, Workshops and other bits...

May is upon us, and although it's been overcast and rainy in our tiny corner of the universe, spring is definitely here. Besides - we needed the rain! Once again we are grateful for so much going on. We also want to give a big shout out to all those at the Electric Groove Factory gigs - to all the great musicians, the fans, the venues. THANKS!
April was a whirlwind of activity and tho May is a bit less hectic there's still plenty to write home about, including Mr Gone, the Thunderhead Organ Trio, a special edition of Wired Wednesdays,  Piktor's Metamorphosis and more.
Here's what's up in May:
Friday May 13th 9:00pm

Lydia Adams Davis
With Neil Alexander

Dogwood Bar & Restaurant
47 East Main St. Beacon
 NY

On thursday May 26th I will be accompanying the wonderful singer/songwriter Lydia Adams Davis at Dogwood Cafe in Beacon NY. Lydia is a fabulous artist, who I've known for many years, whose songs are deep, thoughtful & catchy, and come from a deep grasp of the history of songs and songwriting. For this show I will actually be playing my Lap Steel Guitar (my first official gig with it!) as well as piano & keyboard. Please come out and support this very special evening of live music.
Friday May 27th 8:00 pm

PIKTOR'S METAMORPHOSIS

10th Street Live
104 North 10th St. Kenilworth NJ

Once again Piktor's Metamorphosis takes to the stage for another set of the Super hi test jamz! With Brian Mooney (basses), Monroe Quinn (guitars), Danny Pagan (drums), and yours truly on keys, this is a band that always turns it up to 11, presenting classic Jazz fusion at it's finest. And 10th Street Live is a fab NJ venue with a great sound system and awesome food & stuff.
 Tonight we're gonna party likes it's 1974!
