You told us what you think the new Lands Commissioner’s #1 priority should be. And more.

In our last email, we invited to participate in an online survey. The subject was a simple but important question: What do you believe the #1 priority should be for new State Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz? A large number of you (more than in any previous poll we’ve offered) took the time to respond and here’s what you told us.

Our readers also believe that, generally, Washington state is on the right track when it comes to how we treat privately owned forestland, though a large number haven’t formed an opinion.

Finally, we asked a question that has already been buzzing through rural Washington for quite a while. A majority of our readers do believe that restrictions on forestry operations may be to harsh and are hurting people in rural towns across the state.

If you participated in this poll, we want to thank you for sharing your thoughts. If you missed out, we’ll be doing more of these in the future so keep an eye for the next one in your inbox soon.

Do you own or manage private forestland in Washington state?

We’d like an opportunity to connect with you about your unique experiences. Please email us at info@workingforestsaction.org to request more information.
