THE ORNAMENT OF REASON BEGINS ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 02, 2020 &
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 04, 2020
The Ornament of Reason teaches the path to seeing the reality as it really is, using logic and reasoning. Geshe Tenzin Sherap will be our guide to analyze the many different aspects that break down our grasping on the view of permanence, independence, and intrinsic existence. This course will be approximately a five year presentation of the Middle Way point of view that leads to liberation and enlightenment. Planting the seeds now can bring great results in future lives.
We are so fortunate to have this opportunity to study with Geshe Sherap and study and learn the precious teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni on emptiness and bodhichitta.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama writes,"Nagarjuna's Root of the Middle Way" presents a clear, firm philosophical thesis with respect to things' lacking true existence. It argues that just as sentient beings are devoid of innate existence, so are all Buddhas, the cycle of existence, and the tranquility of nirvana. Such assertions are a great source of inspiration, for they suggest that each of us has the opportunity to scale the greatest spiritual heights, provided we tread on the right path."
