GARLIC SCAPES! The garlic scapes (flower stalk of the Hardneck varieties of garlic), have exploded out. We need to harvest the scapes so the garlic can focus on bulb production, so they will all be gone in the next two, maximum three weeks. If you plan to make a batch of scape pesto, or just want some around for sauces, stir fry's and scrambled eggs, now's the time to get them! Also, it's looking like we might start harvesting zucchini next week.

We are happy to report that we are now running two "checkouts" on Saturday morning to help move through the line quicker and we have been able to keep a selection of most of our produce on the table past 11am.

Here's what's fresh this week:

Feature Recipe:

Garlic Scape, green onion and arugula pesto
Recipe calls for chives, but would work great with green onions too. I love this time of year!
