2015 National Chapter Call for Proposals
The 2015 National Chapter Call for Proposals has been disseminated to all National Chapter focal points. The Secretariat is anticipating a wide range of dynamic proposals this year. To apply, please contact your local National Chapter or email Marina at programs2@citynet-ap.org for the application form. Applications are due on April 17, 2015.
Affordable Housing at ICLEI Congress
CityNet will host a side event on Affordable Housing in the Asia Pacific region on April 8th at the ICLEI World Congress in Seoul. The Side Event will cover topics including slum upgrading, property rights, land use and housing data. The Secretariat will also host a lunch following the side event for all CityNet members. World Bank Chinese Public Officer’s Study Visit Program
On Monday, March 23rd, twenty officers from various Chinese municipalities visited the Seoul Global Center amid the World Bank Chinese Public Officer’s Study Visit Program organized by the Korean Transport Institute. During the visit, the officers had the opportunity to hear about CityNet Activities and learn about Korea's Urban Railway System and Transit Oriented Development in Seoul.

7th World Water Forum in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea
Following the last Forum held in Marseille in 2012 focusing on solutions, the 7th Forum will take place in Gyeongju, from April 12th-17th, 2015. This Forum is the largest and main international meeting on water management and sanitation, held every three years and gathering central governments and ministers, local and regional authorities, policy makers and operators.
 
Safe Cities Asia 2015 in Singapore
From May 12th to 14th, the Worldwide Business Research (WBR) is organizing the Safe Cities Asia 2015 conference in Singapore, where CityNet Secretary General Vijay Jagannathan will be speaking about Asian perspectives on the core elements of a smart, resilient city strategy.

CBARAD-II is officially signed
JICA Yokohama, City of Yokohama, Iloilo City Government and CityNet Yokohama Project Office officially signed the MOU for launching the second phase of CBARAD starting end of March, 2015. The signing was conducted on the sidelines of the WCDRR in Sendai.

Nepalese Delegation Visit to Yokohama
Following the attendance at the World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, the Nepalese delegation composed of the members of the national and local governments as well as NGOs led by National Society for Earthquake Technology (NSET) visited Yokohama Municipal Disaster Prevention Center to learn about Yokohama’s initiatives on public awareness.
