Guidance for businesses for getting CRC rebate
DECC has launched guidance on how to formally get a rebate from the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) for circumstances where your Company may have purchased too many allowances.
This may be the case for instance if:

Your business mistakenly registered for the CRC programme (e.g. if your organisation falls below the threshold for energy usage or is exempt for other reasons)
-
Miscalculation has resulted in the purchase of an excessive quantity of allowances
We understand that:
-
Claims can be made now
-
Claims apply to current and past years
