Our Tree Planting programmes across the World are growing from strength to strength, thanks to your contributions. In addition, now all programmes are underpinned by Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) offsets. We celebrate with some key statistics from 2011 and new photos.
 
In the UK focus continues on 'Growing Trees and Minds' with the majority of planting going into schools and educational programmes

• Over 9,000 trees planted
• Regional locations across the UK - from South East to Shetland!
• Environmental education encouraged
• Woodland preserved

In Central America, our programme is bringing both environment conservation and community benefits:

• 77,822 Maya Nut seedlings were planted in 36 communities
• 1,783 women, 140 men and 3007 children from 36 rural Honduran and Guatemalan communities were trained to harvest, process and sell Maya Nut products.
• 251 men were trained in propagation and management of Maya Nut for reforestation.
• 2986 malnourished children received healthy, nutritious Maya Nut school lunches.
