Just 4 months to go until the compliance deadline.
4 Key things to do/avoid to finish on time.
We have completed large numbers of ESOS projects for our clients. Typical elapsed time for projects is 3-4 months. To keep your project moving smoothly and ensure you finish on time:-
- Get started now - if you haven't already.
Delaying starting until September could well push project completion into November and you will still need to get ESOS lead assessor and director sign off and submit your response to the Environment Agency, which is a bit of a close call.
- Don't forget your transport dataset...
Large numbers of businesses have - in part because it can be more difficult data to collate than buildings energy. But transport does need to be included in your Total Energy Calculation - even if it is a small contribution, this still needs to be proven, before it is confined to the de minimis.
- Don't audit the wrong sites!
Make sure you complete the Total Energy Calculation first; only then will you be in a position to gauge the right audit sample and avoid rework.
- Do give your Top Team early warning of compliance sign off needs
Your energy projects will get more traction this way and you will avoid a last minute panic to get your compliance submission on the Environment Agency's web-site.
