Mandatory Carbon Reporting was explored at our latest Carbon Academy Workshop session. The audience, drawn from a wide range of industry sectors, was briefed by DEFRA on the status of the draft regulation, which is scheduled to come into force in 2013. It will mean that UK incorporated businesses whose shares are traded on the LSE, NYSE or European exchanges, will be required to report their carbon footprints within their Annual Reports.
The session also included an overview of sustainability reporting and implementing sustainability within business.
