Wildlife moves in as tree planting grows from strength to strength
This year, thanks to your generous support, our Kenya Reforestation project has grown from strength to strength. The Great Rift Valley based project supports not only the environment, but also has continued to support local communities and biodiversity - this year we have even seen chameleons move in!

In addition to sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, our project continues to provide much broader benefits to the communities including:
Poverty reduction through employment creation
Water catchment areas are being conserved providing water/food security
Birds, butterflies and other wildlife habitats are being conserved and others created
Bees attracted by the trees in flowering seasons have benefited the community through sale of honey hence reduce poverty
Sale of fruit will help the communities earn extra income
Nutritional benefit from some of the fruit trees planted, such as Avocado trees
The pastoral communities will have pastures for their animals during drought times
Some of our teams have orphans and Persons Living With HIV/Aids (PLWHA) and we contribute to them directly or through the Red Cross, Limuru Branch
