The Labors of Love Pumpkin Club is bi-monthly
and starts mid-April 2013.

(Each Club Cost includes canvas, threads, beads and guide;
tax/shipping charges applied.)

The Thistle Class with Robin King

The Thistle • Zecca • ZE 178

The Thistle Class was very popular at the Winter TNNA Market. Now, Robin is coming to teach it at The Nimble Needle. Creative Turkey Work, Appliqued Felt as well as Sequins, Beads, Over-dyed Threads and composite stitches make for an interesting, fun project.

The Thistle measures 3.5" x 5.5" on 18 mesh. Signup deadline is March 9.

Canvas Embellishment Class with Robin King

  • Saturday, April 6 from 9AM - 4PM

Robin will also be teaching a Canvas Embellishment class on April 6th, 2013. Bring your canvas, purchased at The Nimble Needle* and let Robin's imagination run wild! She will work with you on an individual basis to select stitches and threads for your canvas. What an opportunity. Signup deadline is March 9. Needlepoint 101

The beginning level class by Jan Rogers is a two-part class offered on March 9 and March 16 from 10AM - 1PM. Learn the Basketweave stitch along with 9 novelty stitches using 8 different threads. The canvas is a custom painted sampler in your choice of colors personalized with an initial in the center. This is a fun and instructional canvas that can be finished into a pillow, a framed picture, or attached to a tote bag. This class is offered monthly. Under Jan's patient tutelage, you will explore the world of Open Stitches, Compound Stitches, Beading, Turkey Work and more. Valerie O'Neal took Elizabeth's finishing class in December and brought the little "Associated Talents" Snowman ornament to finish. She was so impressed, she quick like a bunny stitched and finished the other four canvases. Everyone was rewarded with a darling new ornament! Love the stitching and super finishing job.


Teri Miller stitched this darling pillow of her daughter's Yorkie, Zuma. Nancy Keating, Needlepoint painter and designer extraordinaire, captured the spirit and personality of Zuma on canvas. Teri brought the canvas to life with her beautiful stitching. Love the shading. What a wonderful collaboration!

  
Renie Weinstein has outdone herself, yet again. Her use of Bullions and Silk Ribbons to emulate the Roses is just perfect. Canvas by Marie Barber of "Colors of Praise."


Helaine Prochansky lovingly stitched this canvas for her daughter. Rebecca loves her Mom's needlepoint and is quite the Enabler. She keeps Helaine super busy stitching! This customized canvas by Beth Gantz and can be painted in any color combination. Love the finishing!


This 3-dimensional Tree by Barbara Elmore was so much fun for Stacy to stitch. It comes with a super Stitch Guide and will stretch your stitching repertoire. Barbara also does the Finishing ... she is sooo talented!

    
Three charming Garden Gals stitched by Eloise Boylan. She used spider roses in Gloriana Silk Ribbons, Cast-on stitches in Splendor, and Lazy daisies coupled with bubble beads in Petite Velvet to replicate the flowers. Their ensembles and beaded jewels are just perfect! Canvases by "Labors of Love."


Carolyn Stovall expertly stitched this Happy Easter bunny for her granddaughter. Check out the beautiful ruched ribbons and thread combinations. Love the Flair cheeks. Hippity Hoppity to all.


Rebecca Babbitt stitched this sweet little Christmas mouse. Isn't basketweave beautiful? Love the new "Easel Back" finishing by Miss Deborah!


Helen Alston loves her Labs! Helen tweaked the colors to achieve a perfect likeness to her beloved pets. Canvases by Barbara Russell.


Randy Jones stitched this expansive Nativity set over several years. This heirloom set will be cherished for years to come.
