We are excited to host Trunk Shows from two of the most exciting Needlepoint Artists in the Industry!
SANDRA GILMORE'S "ONCE IN A BLUE MOON" June 12
We can not say enough good things about Sandra's canvases. She is hands down the premiere stitch painting artist for achieving realism. Think "pointillism". Every intersection is clearly painted to achieve the most realistic and painterly effects in needlepoint. Her shading and dimension are incredible which makes her canvases an absolute pleasure to stitch. Room scenes are one of her favorite genres. Stitch guide or not, you will have a masterpiece. Treat yourself by viewing her designs at http://www.fleurdeparis.com.
And a special bonus... Julia's Needleworks is sending us their complete Belt Collection! They have it all for Men, Women and Children... golf, fishing, sporting, florals, professions, school spirit and geometrics and more. Belts are a great summer stitching project because of their ease of travel. To see the entire collection visit Julia's website at http://www.juliasneedleworks.com. FYI...Elaine Place's Belt Holiday finishing deadline is October 31 or not to worry for you procrastinating stitchers "House of Flemings" in Buckhead does a great job and even offers alligator for your special man and works much closer to the vest! NEW ORNAMENT OF THE MONTH SERIES
Kelly Clark's Candies
Kelly Clark is personally a "blue ribbon" stitcher as well as a top notch designer. This combination allows Kelly to clearly communicate her stitching intentions through her painted canvases. She sees stitches as she paints which gives the stitcher a wonderful palette. Kelly's Holiday Candies are a delight to stitch and the best thing is they are calorie free! We love these in a candy bowl or adorning a small table top tree.
Join us for 12 months of stitching fun beginning in September. Each month you will receive "The Works" which includes canvas, complete stitch guide, threads, beads, and lots of stitching adventure. You also have the option to choose "The Basic" kit which is the canvas and stitch guide only. This is a great way to participate in any portion of the series you desire. Please call the shop for details. Sign up by July 1 A deposit is required to secure your spot.

Labors of Love Funky Pumpkin - I'm Gonna Get Your Candy! Friday July 13
Yes... Friday the 13th. Fall under a needlepoint spell in this bewitchingly fun class. This is the middle brother of our Halloween Trio of adorable 3-Dimensional Pumpkins from the creative genius of JP Sligh. This funky pumpkin will join his 2011 brother who lost his candy. This canvas incorporates a potion of negative/positive spacial stitches. Each panel is a uniquely scary stitch, thread, and bead application. Not to worry, big brother is coming soon and he has the candy for all three. Sign up by June 22.
We are happy to announce the arrival of the Needle Valet by Deb Bees Designs. This handy gadget helps control those pesky threads when you have several going at once. The large rectangular magnet holds three magnetized pegs which allows you to wrap the threads around the top and secure it at the bottom. A wonderful benefit for the stitcher and the best news is that all the proceeds are donated to an Arkansas Women's Shelter to help defray medical expenses.

NIMBLE NEEDLE BRAG BOOK
Anna Capelouto did a beautiful job stitching Susan Roberts feathered friends coasters. Needlepoint coasters make wonderful gifts and are very durable. Don't forget to keep your Bird Baths full and fresh. It's hot out there for our songbirds.
Carolyn Stovall brought Amanda Lawford's autumal bounty canvas to life. The finishing is the piece de resistance complete with tiny pumpkins and gourds.
Do we hear Wedding Bells? Sally Chasteen lovingly stitched this adorable Bride and Groom ornament for her son's wedding. The ribbon streamers from the bride's bouquet add a wonderful touch. Canvas by Princess and Me.
Lynnette Kingsman, President of The Big Canoe Squirrel Preservation Society went "nuts" when she saw this squirrel canvas by Sandra Gilmore. The shading is amazing... he looks as if he will just jump out of the canvas!
We love this pillow stitched by Ann Hauerland. She incorporated several fun threads and stitches to make this bird fabulously fun! Canvas by Shelly Tribbey.
Donna Medeiros stitched this fun beach scene by Barbara Bergsten as a Housewarming gift for her friend's beach house. She used a combination of Barbara's on-line stitch guide and her own knowledge of stitches to create lot of movement and texture. It makes us want to grab our swimsuits and head for the ocean!
WOW! What a work of art by Renie Weinstein. This Challah cover will be cherished for years to come. You have to see this to believe it. Beads, fun stitches, and bling galore. Renie used our new thread "Sparkles" to define the sillouette of the Kiddish cup. The 3-Dimensionality is amazing! Canvas by Bracha Lavee.
Florence Perusse's Grandson will be ready for the Tooth Fairy with this adorable pillow from Kathy Schenkel. We love that Florence created her own background to add great texture and detail surely to entice any roaming tooth fairy to leave an extra quarter.
Brenda Kelly out did herself! Her thread and stitch selection is outstanding. Love, love the different costume effects from the puffy down vest on Frankenstein to the 3-Dimensional braid on the little witch. Canvas by Ashley Dillion of Susan Roberts Needlepoint.
And....they're off! This racehorse is ready for "The Triple Crown". A multi-colored Bullion mane, Diamond Ray Grass, and French Knot/Basketweave greenery create a win for any horse lover. Stitched by our very own Jeanene, custom canvas by Nancy Keating.
Emogene Thurmonski brought this canvas to life with her unique stitch choices. We especially love the way she did the medallions in satin stitches and Smyrna's. Emogene has quite a pillow collection!
