Scholarship Deadline is FRIDAY!
April 8 is the last acceptable application postmark date for the Chamber's annual scholarship program. Local high school seniors are eligible for three award categories:
  Chamber Scholarships: $500 to $1,000
  ATHENA Scholar: $1,500
  Police Officer Noah Leotta "Act Responsibly Scholarship": $1,500 (minimum)

Applications are available in schools and on the Chamber web site.
'Noah's Law' to be Under Review
State legislators introduced ‘Noah’s Law’ to strengthen ignition interlock requirements for drunken driving. the law is set to be under review in a few days. Click below if you would like to learn more about the proposed legislation or support it.

Carwash Fundraiser
Please help support the Officer Noah Leotta "Act Responsibly Scholarship" by getting your car washed THIS Saturday, April 9, from 9AM - Noon! The event will be organized and conducted by five Farquhar Middle School students. All funds raised will be directly donated to the scholarship! "Dial 'M' for Murder"

Sandy Spring Museum - DC Road Runners 9K
 Combine a lesson in local history with some exercise at the Sandy Spring Nanty Narking Nearly Nine K Run. This trail run takes participants past seven historic sites in the Sandy Spring community. The race begins at 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 7 at the Sandy Spring Friends School when the starting pistol is fired by Governor Thomas Holliday Hicks (1798-1865). Click HERE for more information or to register.

Sandy Spring Museum Barter Program
Sandy Spring Museum has launched the Sandy Spring Museum Exchange, a unique barter program to build deeper relationships between the Museum and the community that it serves. Click HERE to read the full press release.
Tonight: Toastmasters Open House
Toastmasters is an international organization teaching public speaking as well as leadership. Join them tonight, April 5, at 7:30 PM at MedStar Montgomery Hospital second floor. All are welcome! Light refreshments will be served.
ATHENA Tea Set for May 5
Be on the lookout for your invitation! Six women from the Greater Olney-Sandy Spring area have been nominated to receive the 11th Annual ATHENA Award. Successful Tree Planting
