Bruce Drukker Endowed Award of Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Congratulations to Jessyca Judge, MD candidate 2023, who is this year’s recipient of the Bruce Drukker Endowed Award of Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Stacey Missmer is the PI of the USA component of IMI-PainCare, an EU/Industry partnership program focused on preclinical models and human exploration of endometriosis-associated pelvic pain and bladder pain syndrome. The final collaborators meeting for this six-year project was held in Mannheim, Germany in March. Results from the assessment of pain-relevant systems, biomarker and pathway analyses, and analgesic response were presented at IASP 2022 last fall and will be presented at WCE 2023 this May.
Drs. Yong Song and Emmanuel Paul both received the 2023-2024 SRI/Bayer Discovery/Innovation Grant. The Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) and Bayer HealthCare AG provide six individuals a one-year grant in the amount of $20,000 each. 

Dr. Missmer has been invited to serve as a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Committee on Framework for the Consideration of Chronic Debilitating Conditions in Women.
AWARDS

Dr. Asgi Fazleabas is the selected 2023 recipient of the Dr. Shanta Rao Oration Award in the area of reproductive health by the ICMR-National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health.

Dr. Gregory Burns received the 2023 SRI President's Plenary Award, for his abstract titled, "Spatial Transcriptomics Identified Dysregulated Pathways in Epithelial and Stromal Compartments of Endometriotic Lesions”.
