|We're Launching 2015 with Three Awesome Meetings!
The unelected and uber-leftist Carbon Air Resources Board welcomed 2015 with a new and hidden gas tax increase, but we're pleased to usher in the new year with four solid events lasting through March!
The first of our happy events starts next Thursday, when Avi Davis from the American Freedom Alliance will take the stage during our first public meeting of the year. His talk is titled, "The Top Five Threats to Western Civilization and What to Do About Them." AFA is dedicated to defending Western Civilization and upholding its ideals. www.AmericanFreedomAlliance.org
Davis has been a commentator on CNN and Fox News. He was written editorials for publications ranging from the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal. He has served as an editor for the Jewish Spectator and is a past director of Streisand Center for Jewish Cultural Arts. Here is a link to his bio: http://www.americanfreedomalliance.org/avidavis.jsp
2015 Planning: We want your input in our planning for 2015. What should the Redlands Tea Party Patriots focus on and try to accomplish? How can we make the Redlands Tea Party Patriots better and more effect? Please bring your ideas to the January 8 meeting for open forum discussion and/or email us at Cabinet@RedlandsTeaParty.net [before or after the meeting] and/or post on our Facebook page,
On Feb. 5, Matt Lauer -- not the one from NBC's "Today Show" -- from Heritage Action will discuss issues ranging from ObamaCare and amnesty to taxes and the import-export bank. Lauer will discuss how these issues tie into 2015 legislation and how they could impact the 2016 elections.

Just as importantly, Lauer is a national coordinator for Heritage Action, the political action arm of the esteemed Heritage Foundation. Lauer travels the country to meet with "Sentinels," individuals tasked with keeping an eye on elected members of Congress. Countrywide, Heritage Action has a network of nearly 10,000 sentinels. We will have materials for the Sentinel program at our Jan. 8 meeting if you would like to take those and research the program. http://heritageaction.com/
On March 5, Mike Alexander of Pasadena TEAPAC returns as our guest speaker. He is the guru of fiscally conservative ballot propositions in California. Specifically, Mike will be discussing ballot initiatives heading for the 2016 ballot. Also on stage is Judi Neal of the Mountain View Womens Republican Club. Judi is an expert in petitions. She is going to give us a much-needed tutorial on correctly completing petitions.
Mark your calendars for Feb. 21! Our good friends at the Unite IE coalition and AM 590 The Answer will be holding their second annual conservative conference in Riverside at the historic Fox Theater. (You know, the place where "Gone with the Wind" was first screened).
Unite IE is a coalition of two dozen conservative groups in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The Redlands Tea Party Patriots is one of these groups.
So far, conference keynote speakers include Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Texas Gov. Rick Perry. Businesswoman Carly Fiorina and the Politichicks are also on tap. Last year, which was the conference's initial year, drew more than 600 people. This year, Unite IE is expecting north of 1,000 attendees from all over California. There are many other big-name speakers yet to be announced. Our next newsletter will include a link to ticket sales. Stay tuned. Here is the latest link: http://www.am590theanswer.com/pages/unite-ie-conference
We can also tell you that two national support team members from the Tea Party Patriots will be flying in for the conference. This is a chance for you to meet with the people who coordinate local chapters for the Tea Party Patriots. If you are a local coordinator, or you would like to start a Tea Party Patriots chapter of your own, then this is a perfect opportunity to meet with the people who could make this happen.
These two national leaders, Gregg Cummings and Maria Acosta, spoke to us in Redlands last year. They will be on stage during the conference.
Other news: Our own John Berry was in The Press-Enterprise for an article about a letter he wrote complaining about the undemocratic and bullying behavior of the Colton Police and the US Secret Service during the Joe Biden rally at Colton High School on Nov. 1. Berry is going to meet with Colton Police on Monday. Stay tuned.

Patriots! We had an incredible 2014. Highlights include:
*In March, we knocked on nearly 2,500 doors to help Mike Morrell win his state senate seat. What's really impressive is Mike won 62% of the vote despite four other candidates in the race! If no candidate had won 50%, then the top two would have had a runoff during the June primary.
*We hosted numerous market night booths in Redlands and Yucaipa.
*We collected thousands of petition signatures for various causes.
*We hosted a dozen monthly meetings -- including a Christmas party with 185 people.
*We knocked on 8,200 homes before the primary and general elections.
*We put nearly 12,000 voter recommendation guides into circulation.
*And most surprising is the Republican gubernatorial candidate, Neel Kashkari, sought us out for fall meeting. (At that point, we didn't realize that he knew we even existed.) We didn't recommend him on our popular voter guide before or after the meeting, but Kashkari seeking us out in 2014 is a sign that the Redlands Tea Party Patriots are now a decent-sized and statewide blip on California's political radar.
Finally, it's with great sadness that a leftist nut like Pete Aguilar is going to be sworn into Congress this month.
Despite Pete's massive advantages in money and voters, Pete won by just 3,460 votes. However, we are learning that it appears Pete won through illegal voting. According to the Institute for Fair Elections, votes in Congressional District 31 included:
* 3,797 people who voted in the November election who had not voted in 6
* 4,453 people who voted in this election who had not voted since November
* 317 people who voted from vacant addresses (this includes a tennis court in one example)
* 103 people who voted who registered prior to birthdates even being required on voter applications (they would be 164 years old).
This is a developing story. Stay tuned.
And keep staying tuned! As conservatives, we are in tune with conservatives throughout the Inland Empire. A lot of information and events are forming, and when they are ready, we will include them in our next newsletter.
