New CARB Gas Tax = $9 for Global Warming Fraud

We did not do Deborah Pauly, our main speaker for next Thursday, any justice by sticking her subject so far down in the newsletter. No disrespect intended! Her topic is "We've Got the Power: Divided We Fall; United We Stand."

So to repent for not giving her top billing in our last newsletter, we want to shamelessly boast about her appearance. Deborah is a top-notch speaker who never disappoints. Further, she is a leader in the effort to fight a new gas tax that, starting in January, could cost everyone an extra $9 per tank. See for more info.

(That figure is based on the California Air Resources Board increasing it's share to the state's gas tax from 16 cents to 75 cents per gallon. That means a 16-gallon tank would cost you more than $9 per tank. And that increase is in addition to the 68 cents a gallon we already pay in gas taxes, which makes us No. 2 in gas taxes in the USA. And the CARB increase is all in the name of fighting the global warming clown cause the liberals love so much).

And don't forget: we will also be unveiling our fall voters recommendation guide during the meeting. (Hint: We are thrilled local conservative Neil Derry is running for the unequivocally leftist Redlands City Council).

And, as a bonus on our meeting day, the Lake Arrowhead Tea Party Patriots will host a "Run Ben Run" meeting at Mill Creek beginning at 4 p.m. That group is encouraging Dr. Ben Carson to run for president in 2016. Both meetings makes Sept. 4 a "two-fer" for area conservatives.

And while we're boasting, we want to boast even more shamelessly about the High Desert Fair Tax Tea Party Patriots. That group is a single-issue group devoted to installing a fair tax which would abolish the IRS if adopted into law.

The High Desert group is helping to sponsor and promote "Unfair: Exposing the IRS," a new movie hitting movie theaters nationwide on Oct. 14, including Redlands. The two-hour movie is showing in 700 theaters on that night only. He is a link to a most powerful and most awesome movie trailer:

Further, High Desert leader John Wesley Nobles will attend our Thursday meeting. He would love to talk to you about the movie. Also, our own Jenny Beth Martin, leader of the Tea Party Patriots, of which we are a chapter, will be appearing in the movie.

Speaking of the Tea Party Patriots: We are asking you to go to and sign up. By enrolling, you will gain access to a significant number of tools ranging from network with fellow patriots to getting inside knowledge to the tea party movement. In addition, we are asking you to consider donating $25 a year to the Tea Party Patriots. That amount gets you a plastic card that shows you are a card-carrying member of the tea party movement. The national Patriots have a small core of leaders who work countless hours. The Tea Party Patriots are leading the fight again amnesty among numerous other causes we support.

The national Tea Party Patriots only wishes the Koch brothers would bankroll the group. They don't have a sugar daddy, so the group is forced to invest time raising donations from small donors like us. We, the Redlands Tea Party Patriots, have benefitted significantly over the years from their resources, speakers, websites, materials, guidance, etc. Contributing to the national Tea Party Patriots is our way of showing our gratitude for the work they do for us as well as the tea party movement. Please consider a donation.

And the next time you run into a Tea Party Patriot -- thank them with a Diet Coke! Thanks to the new BuyPartisan app, you can learn a company's board, PACs and employees are majority Republican!

This app also reveals why liberals put the rest of us to sleep: They must be taking NyQuil, which is overwhelmingly Democrat in contributions, directors, PACs.

Another good source of info to put our wallets and purses in service of the cause is  This website assess a company’s positions of various issues.  It is also available as an app for your smart phone (making it an even smarter phone).
When we have a reasonable choice, we should choose the more conservative company who better supports our values to do business with.

Another patriot success v. illegal immigration!  When Riverside city councilmember Andy Melendez tried to slip a resolution through on the consent calendar supporting illegal immigration, our ever-vigilant patriot activists found out, spread the word, and on August 26, 25 patriot activists attended the Riverside City Council meeting opposing the resolution.  About the same number of pro-illegal immigration supporters showed up.  After a lengthy meeting, the Riverside City Council voted down the resolution. Patriot kudos to Tressy Capps, Ly Kou and everyone who fought the good fight!

Other news: Marc Steinorth, a true American conservative and patriot running for the state assembly district 40, which includes Redlands, is about to get hit with a multi-million liberal money bomb from Sacramento. Marc is such an impressive candidate that the libs are realizing they are going to have to smear Marc in order to win -- and get this -- a majority Democrat district! As conservatives, we must get Marc into the seat Mike Morrell vacated when he won a special election for the state senate earlier this year. Keeping that seat in conservative hands will help break the Democrat supermajority in Sacramento. As Californians, we can't always rely on corruption arrests, drunken-driving charges, and gun-running plea deals to keep the Democrats from regaining their supermajority. Eventually, we have to get favorable numbers, and Marc is the conservative standing in the way of their supermajority.
You can show your support of Marc by attending one of this two September fundraisers in Redlands -- and they come with beer and wine! Details are in the adjoining column.

The date, time, and location have been announced for the second annual Unite IE conference in Riverside. (Hint: Circle Feb. 21 in your planners!) AM 590 The Answer expects to soon announce the speakers.

Curt Hagman, state assemblyman and candidate for San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, will be our Oct. 2 speaker. Hagman also leads the San Bernardino County GOP Central Committee. He will be speaking about the importance of voting and participating in local elections. We want to work with the Reps as much as we can without compromising our principles or independence.

Barack Hussein Obama and the MSM, the end of a “slobbering love affair?”

Patriots...we realized long ago who Barack Obama really is. Judging by Obama's historic lows in public opinion polls, it's nice to see how even low-informed voters are coming our way. But our latest converts may be coming from -- and get this -- the media!

The media is throwing a foot-stomping hissy fit about Obama lately after he so callously responded to the tragic beheading of an American journalist by Islamic radicals (MSNBC "Morning Joe" host and alleged Republican Joe Scarborough even called Obama a "cold SOB"). Never mind that Obama, among his countless ills, has tanked the economy and tried to make us socialist junkies with Obamacare. Never mind that he is ruining the military and making us less safe. Never mind that he's using the IRS to bully his political enemies. But mind you, the media is outraged -- outraged! -- that Obama went golfing within moments of making a statement about the brutal murder. The image of Obama golfing caused the media to throw a childish temper tantrum.

Whatever. The media may be finally coming around to our point of view.

Hey media: Welcome to our side of the political 50-year-line. We figured Obama out six years ago, but it's nice to see you may be, could be, waking up.
