Redlands Tea Party Patriots

Now Comes Dinesh D'Souza!

Patriots!

We couldn't be more ecstatic -- no, try "euphoric" -- that His Greatness Dinesh D'Souza is joining Her Greatness Ann Coulter at the first-ever Unite IE Conservative Conference in Riverside on May 17!

You know Ann. And you may even be aware how Inland Empire liberals started making evacuation plans for San Francisco when they heard Ann Coulter was coming to the IE. Now? They may change their flights for one-way tickets to Moscow now that Dinesh D'Souza will join her on stage!

D'Souza is a repeated New York Times best-selling author who produced, "2016: Obama's America," a most awesome hit film which did the media's job by unearthing Obama's roots in Africa and Hawaii -- including documentation about his communist father and communist mentor.   So, it was no surprise earlier this year when Obama's administration selectively targeted D'Souza for illegal campaign contributions.

Other guests include such stellar conservatives as Tim Donnelly, Guy Benson and Mike Alexander!

Tickets: www.am590theanswer.com. Tickets range from $25 for general admission to $70 for the VIP treatment with the hosts.

You may have to cut and paste that link into your browser. Okay, this is very important: When you sign up, please click the Redlands Tea Party Patriots in the "which organization are you with" drop-box. AM 590 is tracking which organizations are buying tickets for marketing information. We don't get discounts -- or even free drinks! -- out of the deal, but we want to help KTIE as much as possible because the station has always been Christmas-season generous in helping the Redlands Tea Party as well as the conservative movement in the IE. So, in case you skimmed this paragraph, please credit the Redlands Tea Party Patriots when you buy your tickets. Thanks in advance!

Our featured speaker at our May 1 meeting is Michael Greer, a co-founder of the Los Angeles-Santa Monica Tea Party. She is a mover and shaker in LA tea party circles. She was also once mentioned in TIME magazine for her tea party activism. We will also give some stage time for candidates running for the June 3 primary.

We will move our June meeting to May 29 so we can have a meeting on the Thursday before the primary. That way, we can hold our straw poll within days of the actual election. On that night, Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute will be our featured speaker. Dacus is the attorney leading the fight against the most immoral, irresponsible and indefensible co-ed bathroom bill. He will update us on the latest court action to get that measure on the November 2014 ballot.

Also speaking at the May 29 meeting is John "Woody" Woodrum, a key player in the California Tea Party Caucus. He will discuss the the caucus as well as the impact the tea party is having on the Republican Party in California. Woody is from San Diego, where he severs as the president of the Eagle Forum.

At our last monthly meeting, the national Tea Party Patriots donated ample amounts of materials for the new tea party groups starting up in the Inland Empire. But Gregg Cummings and Maria Acosta also had a secret mission during their stay: Making our own John Berry a California coordinator for the national Tea Party Patriots. We don't know what that title means just yet, but we're thrilled nevertheless that the national Tea Party Patriots would consider one of our own for such an important position. Details to follow.

Speaking of the Tea Party Patriots: Please go to www.teapartypatriots.org and enroll. The national Tea Party Patriots are updating their website. Joining means a whole new slew of upcoming materials, including a congressional scorecard of all our elected federal officials.

Calling all petitions for Voter ID! Please bring all signed petitions (we can't send them in without the signature of the person who circulated them) to our May 1 meeting. The other petitions we are collecting, Electoral College proportional representation and protecting our gun rights, can be handed in at our May 29 straw poll. We will also be collecting all three petitions at the May 17 event.

We will also have them outside the next gun show in Ontario on May 3 and 4. To volunteer for that event, contact Ly Kou (who does the work of three ordinary patriot activists!) at: CallToAction33@yahoo.com

Finally, we giggle every time the media keeps telling the country that the tea party movement is ready for cremation. Any more, those stories are as much cliches as they are yawners. But we have to give credit to Redlands Daily Facts columnist Howard Hurlburt, who does a far better job connecting dots than the rest of the media that, when it comes to objective tea party coverage, couldn't find the restroom -- much less connect dots -- with three hands, a compass, a map, and flashlight.

So in Tuesday's paper, Hurlburt stated the obvious: The tea party movement is growing and California is No. 1 in active chapters! Here's the link to the study Hurlburt cited:
http://www.irehr.org/press/item/540-study-finds-california-leads-the-nation-in-tea-party-membership

Hurlburt also cited how the Redlands Tea Party Patriots had a significant impact in Mike Morrell winning his March special election with a crushing 62 percent of the vote.

Our impact on local politics is old news to us; still, it's nice to see that at least one member of the local media has the common sense and courage to state what we've known for years.
