The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is joining forces with the Professional Travel Bloggers Association (PTBA) to organise the Forum as part of PATA’s signature travel trade event which this year takes place in Banten Province, Indonesia on September 7-9.

Thailand is reporting a year-on-year arrivals growth of 15.5 percent during 1Q2016 while arrivals to Singapore grew 13.8 percent for the same period. Malaysia is emerging from a recent setback and is reporting arrivals growth of 2.8 percent compared to Q12015.

New LGBT reports for download
 

Community Marketing & Insights’ (CMI) 20th Annual LGBT Tourism & Hospitality survey drew the involvement of over 4,500 LGBT citizens across many countries. With a cumulative 20 year participation of over 100,000 respondents, the LGBT Community Survey is one of the largest travel tracking studies of its kind.

This report focuses on the data of 3,772 self-identified gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender United States residents. By attracting large numbers of respondents, CMI is able to take a closer look at the many segments within LGBT. The study helps tourism and hospitality organisations understand how the LGBT community sometimes responds as one voice, or when demographic differences such as gender, age and geographic residence are far more important.
