Most Destinations in Northeast Asia Saw Increases in the Percentage of Unique Visitors to Travel Websites in 2015

According to the latest figures from comScore, Chinese Taipei registered the highest percentage (55.4%) of unique visitors to travel websites in Northeast Asia in June 2015, up from 46.3 percent last year. Hong Kong SAR was in second spot with 53.3 percent during the month, up from 46.9 percent last year while the percentages in Japan improved slightly from 31.9 percent to 35.1 percent. China PRC, however, was the only destination in the region that witness a decline in the percentage of unique visitors to travel websites.

Nepal’s government welcomes the recent adaptation in the travel advisories of most Western countries. Now the Himalayan nation can be considered “a safe place to visit,” according to Kripasur Sherpa, Nepal’s Culture and Tourism minister.
