Thailand set to lead 2018 growth in inbound flights to Japan from Southeast Asia


 
An annual increase of nine percent in scheduled inbound flights from Southeast Asia to Japan is forecast for 2018. Flights from Thailand are likely to top the growth chart at 17.1 percent, taking up higher share of total flights from 23.6 percent in 2017 to 25.4 percent in 2018. Airlines operating out of Philippines (8.2%) and Singapore (6.6%) are also expected to increase scheduled flights this year compared to 2017 whereas Indonesia is set to bounce back after a shortfall in flight frequencies to Japan in 2017, with an impressive annual growth of 16.9 percent by year end.
