PATA Issues & Trends – 1H2018 is now available
Over the last decade, travel distribution has changed dramatically from the traditional wholesale model to the evolution and market dominance of OTAs. In addition, operators continue to seek high yielding direct business within a dynamic and shifting market while grappling with the entry of Airbnb to the marketplace and the new challenges it presents. With the ever-increasing number of consumers travelling, a range of alternative travel distribution solutions has emerged for operators to partner with to expand their sales mix, top-up occupancy levels, add value, and clear distressed inventory. In this issue of the Issues & Trends, Bartercard examines the evolving and changing face of tourism distribution solution models and the innovative ways in which savvy operators are using them to drive their business.
