Hong Kong SAR set to lead growth in Northeast Asia by 2022


 
Northeast Asia is set to enjoy steady growth in international visitor arrivals from 2018 to 2022 with an average annual growth rate of 4.5 percent. Expected to achieve an average annual increase of 9.3 percent over the period, Hong Kong SAR is forecast to top the growth table in the region. Korea (ROK) and Mongolia follow closely, growing at 7.1 percent and 6.3 percent, well above the regional average. Japan, Chinese Taipei, China and Macao SAR are expected to register arrivals growth of between 2.4% and 3.8% for the period to 2022.
