‘Stepping Out of the Crowd’ – PATA Launches New Study on Tourism Dispersal Among Young Asian Travellers

PATA’s second study on the travel trends of young Asian consumers is set to discuss how and where young Asian travellers are going ‘off the beaten track’, while presenting practical advice on how destinations can manage future tourism growth responsibly.

There’s still time to enter the million dollar PATA CEO Challenge. And we’ve simplified the application process to make it even easier. This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging tourism destinations to boost their marketing campaigns by demonstrating how they showcase their heritage, customs, culture and natural beauty. They must also present evidence about how their tourism activities provide real economic empowerment to local communities.

Remember that there are two distinct categories:

  1. State, regional and provincial tourism organisations
  2. Second tier and third tier towns/cities

Winners in each category receive:

  1. US$ 500,000 digital market campaign provided generously by our partners TripAdvisor
  2. Stand space (standard shell scheme booth) at the PATA Travel Mart 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia from September 7 – 9
  3. Complimentary pass to the PATA Annual Summit 2016 in Guam on May 18 – 21
  4. Extensive global exposure via PATA’s effective communications channels
