Nepal received a major boost in IVAs from Asia

In the second quarter of 2018, Nepal tourism continues to enjoy an impressive increase in international visitor arrivals (IVAs) from Asia showing a surge of 16.7 percent compared to 2Q2017. This was primarily boosted by the significant growth of arrivals from Southeast Asia (26.0%) and Northeast Asia (21.8%). Despite the lower-than-overall growth rate of 12.7 percent, South Asia remains the number one source market occupying 56.23 percent share contribution of IVAs from Asia to Nepal during this period.

UNWTO: Qatar among 10 most open visa countries in the world

Qatar has become the most open country in the Middle East and the 8th most open in the world in terms of visa facilitation. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) recently updated its visa openness rankings, confirming Qatar’s recent visa facilitation improvements including allowing nationals of 88 countries to enter Qatar visa-free and free-of-charge.
