More low-cost seats on routes to West Asia


 
Low-cost carriers are adding capacity to destinations in West Asia this year with an increase of 15.1 percent (2.6 million seats) compared to 2015. The top three source markets this year, as measured by increases in seat capacity over two years, are Pakistan (60.3%), India (44.6%) and Turkey (29.2%). Germany is expected to decrease in seats by 40.4 percent, reducing the number of scheduled low-cost carrier seats on routes from Germany to West Asia by 820,000.
