Slight decrease in visitor arrivals to Palau in November 2017

During November 2017, Palau tourism witnessed a slight decrease of inbound visitor arrivals with a 0.1 percent drop compared to the same period last year. This primarily resulted from the decline of arrivals from key source markets such as Korea (ROK) (-59.8%), USA (-18.4%) and Australia (-41.5%). Despite this overall dip, Chinese arrivals to Palau increased by 20.4 percent compared to November 2016. Palau also enjoyed an arrivals boom from Chinese Taipei that posted an impressive growth of 41.9 percent during this period.
