Scheduled airline seats from Americas to Asia set to increase


 
Capacity on scheduled airline seats to destinations across Asia from the Americas is likely to show an increase of 4.1 percent in 2017 over 2016. Northeast Asia will continue to take the lead with 66 percent share of total seats, reporting year-on-year growth of 5.1 percent. South Asia is also expected to see an impressive growth of 11.8 percent, followed by West Asia (1.3%) and Central Asia (0.4%). However, seat capacity to Southeast Asia is predicted to slightly decrease by 0.4 percent this year.

Bali tourism workers hit hurt by volcano speculation
  
Tourists should keep visiting Bali as it is perfectly safe to do so. That was the recommendation made by Herman Hoven, General Manager of Khiri Travel Indonesia today. Mr Hoven said there had been at least a 20 percent drop in tourism bookings in the Bali tourism sector at large, since the 3,031m (9,944ft) Mt Agung volcano started to show increased signs of activity in the third week of September. Singapore Airlines’ 70th anniversary events raise $2.55 million for Community Chest


Singapore Airlines (SIA) has raised S$2.55 million for Community Chest through three fundraising events, organised as part of the Airline’s 70th anniversary celebrations. Proceeds from the SIA Family Day, SIA Group Charity Run and SIA Charity Gala will go towards supporting beneficiaries from about 80 social service organisations under Community Chest. Read more.
