Mixed fortunes forecast for destinations in Northeast Asia

Chinese Taipei and Japan are forecast to see solid arrivals from Southeast Asia over the next four years with average annual growth rates of 4.7 percent and 5.2 percent respectively. Hong Kong SAR and Korea (ROK) are expected to see slower pace of average annual growth (2%) from this source region for the same period. Arrivals from Southeast Asia to China and Macao SAR are expected experience relatively low, or even nil growth, between now and 2020.

PATA Malaysia Taylor’s Student Chapter : Awareness Walk
 

The very first pre-event of World Tourism Day 2016 celebration in Taylor’s University, was the awareness walk. Organised and held by Diploma in Tourism Management Batch 9 students, this event was aimed to create awareness regarding promoting universal accessibility among the participants. Dr. Toney K Thomas, Deputy Dean of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts officiated the event. Speakers invited shared their experience as they personally have disabilities. The three speakers have common intentions and goals – to fight for the rights of people with disabilities, educate the public regarding the difficulties in overcoming possible obstacles and challenges in accessing surrounding information and facilities, particularly in Malaysia where most places are not 'disabled-friendly'. PATA India Chapter : MOT roadshow in Europe from Oct 17-27
 

PATA India Chapter, in cooperation with Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is conducting its business development roadshows in six European cities from October 17-27, 2016. The roadshow begins in Helsinki (Finland) on October 17, and moves on to Stockholm (Sweden) on October 18, Copenhagen (Denmark) on October 20, Vienna (Austria) on October 24, Prague (Czech Republic) on October 26, and concludes in Warsaw (Poland) on October 27.
